For me, the goal is never to “direct” the day. It’s to document it with respect. I stay close enough to capture emotion, but quiet enough so everything stays real. Small gestures, real laughs, and the kind of moments you only notice later, when you look back at your photos and feel the day again.

I photograph weddings with a documentary mindset. That means I don’t build the day around a photoshoot. I build the photos around the day.

If you’re not used to being photographed, this approach is usually the biggest relief. You won’t hear constant instructions. You won’t be pulled away for long periods. And you won’t feel like you have to “perform” for the camera.

Instead, I focus on:
